FDA SUSPENDS PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION OF ANOINTED FAMILY WATER

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has suspended the operations of "Anointed Family Water", a registered sachet water brand with registration number FDA/WT 22G-595, produced at New Bortianor under unhygienic and insanitary conditions at a risk to public health and safety, following a recent inspection of its facility by the Authority.

During the inspection, the FDA inspection team also found several pieces of Rena Aqua sachet water, an unregistered brand, on the premises, which were seized. The inspection forms part of the Authority’s routine activities to ensure the safe production of sachet water for public consumption.

The public is hereby advised to refrain from consuming Anointed Family Water and the unregistered Rena Aqua brand. Retailers and distributors are also instructed to remove all stocks of Anointed Family Water as well as Rena Aqua in trade until further notice.
